What we do

Our Produce Is Mainstay For Us

As per our mandate we have started training to the farmers and farmwomen and vocational trainings to the rural youths. Latest agricultural technologies were demonstrated at the farmer’s field through front line demonstrations. Stress has been given to promote integrated crop management in pulses and oilseeds considering their importance in present agriculture.

Farming

The KVK is having a well-equipped agricultural farm of 12.0 ha which is covered by the latest variety/technology of various crops for the demonstration to the farmers.

Poultry

Vocational training of poultry farming started by the organization has got good popularity among the farmers.

Milk & Dairy Unit

A model demonstration unit of cows has been established to suit the small and marginal farmers by the organization.

Seed Production

The availability of pure and good quality seed on appropriate time is always a major constraint to the farmers.

Let Us Tell You Our Story

Indian Council of Agriculture Research has established this Krishi Vigyan Kendra in 1999 with the aim to serve the farming community of district and improve their economic status.

Pratapgarh is economically one of the most under developed district of Uttar Pradesh. It is situated on the northern bank of river Ganga in Allahabad division. It is located between 25˚ 24’ and 26˚ 11’ north latitude and 81˚ 19’ and 82˚ 27’ east longitude. It is surrounded by Jaunpur on the east, Raebareli in the west, Sultanpur on the north and Allahabad & Kaushambi on the south. Its geographical area is 3717 sq. km. and lies in central plain Agro climatic zone. The district comprises five subdivisions and divided into 17 Development blocks.
